The NRH Lifestyle
Usually, a nice morning in North Richland Hills starts with coffee. Did you know that our main road Rufe Snow is "Chicken and Coffee Row?" It is a source of the most chicken and coffee(and oil change) establishments in the city. Citizens debate on local social media groups about what new business will show up where, and the first guess is always chicken or coffee. After a nice coffee, or even a breakfast in one of our restaurants, a nice walk through the forest at Crosstimbers Park off of Douglas or biking down the Cottonbelt trail helps you get outdoors. Especially while it is still cool outside! There are many gyms that have opened in NRH if you prefer getting your gains inside, and the NRH Centre is a really nice city recreation center with their gym also.
NRH has a wonderful library with a makerspace that has a quilting machine, 3D printers, and some woodworking equipment. You can rent just about any movie(sigh, no more Blockbuster or Family Video)or book and they always have a section to purchase from the Friends of the Library. There are several study rooms, community computers, and even a fireplace with seating on those chillier days.
North Richland Hills has a lot of events that take place every year, including Sounds of Spring concert series, art shows, a Fireworks and Drone show, and a Christmas event.
During the heat of the summer, a nice indoor pool is at the NRH Centre, but the real action is at NRH2O, the city's waterpark. There are several splash pads in the surrounding communities as well. We have several breweries now with outdoor seating and their own trivia, speed-puzzles, and more.
There are always committees and boards and volunteer opportunities in the city as well. Amy and Jeremy have served on several boards and commissions throughout their years living here in North Richland Hills.
Honestly, it is all about how you live in the community around you, building and contributing to your local community that makes NRH an amazing place to live.
